An introduction to Authentic Movement Practice
A one-day workshop
Co-led by Gaelin Little and Charlotte Darbyshire
10.30am – 4.30pm Sunday 12th January 2025
Join us for an immersive day of Authentic Movement, a contemplative movement practice that deepens our connection to ourselves and others, by listening in to the wisdom of the moving body.
This workshop offers a structured and supportive space for moving, speaking and witnessing from our lived experience.
Authentic Movement Practice:
Invites us to dive into our own movement process without judgement and to follow our own impulses and energy freely.
Helps us to find language for our unique experience.
Supports us to be seen.
Supports us to seeing another with self-awareness, clarity and compassion.
This workshop is open to everybody - no previous experience is necessary
It is particularly resourcing for artists, movement practitioners or therapists seeking to connect more deeply with their own body and inner experience to better support their professional practice.

A bit about us:
Gaelin and Charlotte are friends and colleagues of many years. They are both dance artists and certified Somatic Movement Educators and Therapists having trained with Linda Hartley in Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy. Authentic Movement Practice is core to that training and to Gaelin and Charlotte’s ongoing independent research.
